Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif (born Katrina Turquotte on 16 July 1984) is an Indian actress and model who has appeared in Bollywood,Telugu and Malayalam films. Kaif was born in Hong Kong to an Indian father, Mohammed Kaif, and a British mother, Suzzane Turquotte. Her mother, a Harvard graduate, was a lawyer but later became involved in charity work. Her parents separated when Kaif was very young. Kaif has seven siblings. She was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother's home country, England. As she became a model at the age of 14 she got invitations in films such as "Boom" however her films were not working at that point of time. As she grew in the film industry she got her name changed from Rosemary Torquotte to Katrina Kaif.

Kaif's first release for 2009,New York, with John Abraham was a critical and commercial success.Kaif's performance was highly appreciated with critic Taran Adarsh writing, "Katrina gives you the biggest surprise. Reema was born to Javed Khan Bangash and Syan in Sahiwal, Pakistan.
